About
I’m Aney
Studio 1240 began with a childhood love for nature’s quiet healing — holidays spent in the garden, charting the properties of herbs, farm visits where my grandparents showed me their parents’ old soap pot, and stories about how the fat from animals harvested wasn’t waste, but treasure. They knew: do it right once, with quality that lasts. That stayed with me.
Years later, after getting married, I started experimenting — first with natural soap, then tallow. Pregnancy made it real: I wanted skincare safe for my babies, my skin, my life. Research confirmed what our ancestors already understood — grass-fed tallow’s lipids mirror our own, delivering deep nourishment, barrier support, and vitamins A, D, E, and K straight to the skin. No surface tricks. Safe enough to eat. Why settle for less?
What was, by then, a household staple for us, quickly turned into a business with friends and family asking for refills and sharing their positive feedback.
Nearly half a decade later, the business has a clear vision: Studio 1240 stands for purity, simplicity, and uncompromising quality. We keep it minimal because real skincare doesn’t need layers of extras. If it isn’t good enough for my family, it doesn’t make it here. Handcrafted in small batches in the beautiful Free State, every product is made with that same care — honest ingredients, no synthetics, no water, no compromise.
This is skincare rooted in heritage, backed by science, and built for everyday life.
An upgrade, not a sacrifice.
Welcome to Studio 1240.
